The Raptor experience

Ride the Yamaha Raptor 700cc Sport Quad on the Red Dunes of Dubai

The Yamaha Raptor 700 is the quad we keep for riders who want the real thing. It is a full-size sport ATV with a 686cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that pulls from low revs, a manual 5-speed gearbox with reverse, and long-travel suspension (about 9 inches at the front and 10 inches at the rear) that soaks up the ridges of Al Badayer, the red-sand desert around Big Red on the Dubai–Hatta Road (E44).

The price is simple: AED 400 per quad for 1 hour. The Raptor is a 1 seater, so every rider gets their own bike, and every ride is private: a BNB guide leads your group only, sets the pace and picks the dunes to match your skill. Add a private hotel transfer for AED 350 (up to 6 guests), or book the Yamaha Raptor 700cc + shared transfer package instead.

New to quads, or riding with a partner or kids? Our 620cc quads are the easier start, from AED 150 on the Early Bird quad tour and the afternoon quad tour, with 2 seater options. See every quad bike tour in Dubai, compare the 1 seater quad bike rental options, or visit the BNB Travel & Tours home page.

MF

“The Raptor 700 is the quad I ride myself. It is a sport machine with a clutch and gears, so I always ask guests one question first: have you ridden a manual bike before? If yes, it is the most fun you can have on four wheels in the dunes. If not, we start you on a 620cc and you will be ready for the Raptor next time.”

Your ride, step by step

What Happens on Your Yamaha Raptor Quad Bike Ride?

  1. Check in at our Al Badayer camp

Meet the BNB team 15–20 minutes before your slot, show your ID and sign the waiver. Use our camp location pin; Downtown Dubai is about 55–70 minutes away on the E44.

  2. Gear up and learn the Raptor

Helmet, goggles and gloves on. Your guide walks you through the clutch, gears, throttle, brakes and reverse, and the hand signals used in the convoy.

  3. Warm-up loop

A few laps on flat sand to find first and second gear and feel how the Raptor turns. Only when you are comfortable does the guide lead you out.

  4. Ride the red dunes

Follow your guide over ridges and through sand bowls around Big Red, with photo stops on the high dunes. The route changes with wind, sand and your confidence.

  5. Sandboarding, camel ride and cool-down

Back at camp, try sandboarding, enjoy a short camel ride and cool off with water in the climate-controlled lounge.
