Start Your Day With a 1-Hour Early Bird Dune Buggy Ride in Al Badayer
The Early Bird Dune Buggy Tour is our simplest way to own the desert before breakfast is over: one fixed hour behind the wheel of a Polaris RZR 1000cc, one clear price of AED 500 per buggy, and everything else already included. You drive, your BNB instructor leads, and the red sand of Al Badayer near Big Red on the Dubai–Hatta Road (E44) is yours while the air is still cool.
Choose a 1, 2 or 4 seater. The price is the same for every seat option, so a family of four in one buggy pays the same AED 500 as a solo rider. Your tour is private: no other group joins your convoy, and the pace is set around the people in your buggies, not a busload of strangers.
Departures run between 6:00 and 11:00 AM. Book the first slot and you are back in the city by late morning, ready for the beach, the mall or a flight. Want more time on the sand, or only a quick 30-minute blast? Our flexible early morning Polaris RZR rental runs from 30 minutes to 2 hours. For every other way to ride, see all our dune buggy rental tours or start at the BNB dune buggy Dubai home page.
“First-timers always ask me how long they should book. For most people, one hour is the sweet spot. It gives you time to learn the buggy, find your rhythm on the soft sand and still have the energy to enjoy sandboarding and the camels afterwards. Book it early and you get the coolest, calmest part of the day.”
— M. Faisal, Camp Manager, BNB Buggy Camp

What Happens on Your 1-Hour Early Bird Dune Buggy Tour?
Arrive at our Al Badayer camp
Meet the BNB team 15–20 minutes before your slot, store valuables and sign the waiver. Check our camp location and leave enough time for the drive out on the E44.
Briefing and gear up
Your instructor explains throttle, brakes, steering and hand signals, then helmet and goggles go on and belts are checked. Never driven off-road? Ask anything now. Our dune buggy safety guidelines explain what we check.
One hour on the red dunes
You take the wheel and follow your guide in a private convoy, climbing ridges, dropping into bowls and cruising open sand. The route adapts to wind, visibility and sand conditions on the day.
Photo stop on the ridge
We pause on a high point for photos with your buggy and the morning desert behind you. Tell your guide before you set off if pictures are a priority.
Sandboarding, camel ride and cool-down
Back at camp, try sandboarding, enjoy a short camel ride and grab bottled water in the climate-controlled lounge before heading back.

Who Leads Your Early Bird Dune Buggy Tour in Al Badayer?
Every Early Bird tour runs from our own camp in Al Badayer under M. Faisal, camp manager at BNB Buggy Camp. Born and raised in the UAE, he has more than 15 years in desert tourism and is licensed to operate and guide dune buggy, quad bike, camel and horse riding activities.
Before you book, tell us your group size, children’s ages and who wants to drive. Drivers must be 16 or older and passengers 3 or older (see our dune buggy age limit guide). We will match you to the right buggies and a morning slot that fits.
Early Bird Dune Buggy Tour Dubai FAQs
Quick answers on price, timing, ages and what to bring. Still unsure? Message our camp team and a guide will reply.
How much is the Early Bird Dune Buggy Tour in Dubai?
AED 500 per buggy for a 1-hour self-drive Polaris RZR ride. The 1, 2 and 4 seater cost the same. A private hotel transfer is AED 300 extra for up to 6 guests, and you pay on the spot at the camp.
What time does the Early Bird buggy tour start?
Early Bird departures run between 6:00 AM and 11:00 AM. You choose a start time when you book on WhatsApp, and we confirm it along with any hotel pickup time.
Is the Early Bird tour a sunrise tour?
Not automatically. A morning slot and a sunrise slot are different. If you want to be on the dunes for sunrise, ask for it when you book. Sunrise in Dubai is around 5:30 AM in June and just after 7:00 AM in January, and haze can affect the view.
How long does the whole Early Bird experience take?
The dune drive is 1 hour. With check-in, the briefing and camp activities, plan about 1.5–2 hours at the camp, or about 3.5–4 hours door to door with a hotel transfer.
Can beginners drive the Early Bird dune buggy?
Yes. No off-road experience is needed. The Polaris RZR is automatic, and your instructor explains the controls and leads the whole route. Bring a valid ID such as a passport or Emirates ID. Wondering about licences? Read do you need a licence to drive a dune buggy in Dubai.
Can kids join the Early Bird buggy tour?
Yes. Drivers must be 16 or older, and kids aged 3 and above ride as passengers. The lowest price for a child to ride along is AED 300, which is a 30-minute Polaris ride.
Is hotel pickup included in the AED 500 price?
No. Private hotel pickup and drop-off is an optional extra at AED 300 for up to 6 guests. You can also drive yourself to our Al Badayer camp, which has free parking.
Are sandboarding and the camel ride included?
Yes. Every Early Bird booking includes sandboarding, a short camel ride of about 5–10 minutes, a photo stop, bottled water, full safety gear and an instructor guide.
Can I ride for longer than 1 hour?
Yes. You can extend to 90 minutes for AED 700 or 2 hours for AED 900 per buggy. For a quick 30-minute ride at AED 300, book our flexible early morning Polaris RZR rental instead.
What should I wear on a morning buggy ride?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. Desert mornings from December to February can feel chilly, so bring a light jacket. A scarf or buff helps keep sand off your face. Our dune buggy preparation guide has a full checklist.
Do I pay online for the Early Bird tour?
No. Book on WhatsApp and pay on the spot at the camp. No card is needed to reserve your slot.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure are refunded minus a 5% bank fee. We confirm cancellations by email, and refunds usually take 7–10 days.
