Affordable Evening Desert Safari in Dubai with BBQ Dinner and Shows
The Shared Evening Desert Safari is the classic Dubai desert evening at the lowest price we offer. You pay AED 150 per person and share an air-conditioned 4WD with other guests. Pickup is between 2:30 and 3:00 PM from your hotel or apartment in Dubai. Your licensed driver-guide then takes the group to the red dunes of Al Badayer near Big Red on the Dubai–Hatta Road (E44).
It is the full programme, not a cut-down version: 30 minutes of dune bashing, a photo stop on a high dune, a camel ride and sandboarding. At the camp there is henna for ladies, Arabic dress photos, shisha, a BBQ buffet with vegetarian options, and the fire show, Tanoura, belly dance and Yowla. Then the car drops everyone back at their hotels.

What Should First-Timers Know Before a Shared Desert Safari?
Be ready at your lobby
Pickup runs in a 2:30–3:00 PM window because the car collects other guests. We confirm your time the day before.
Eat light before pickup
Avoid a heavy meal 2–3 hours before dune bashing. Dinner is included at the camp.
Dress for sun and sand
Comfortable shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. From November to February, bring a light jacket for the evening.
Bring a little cash
Everything in the package is paid, but you may want cash for souvenirs or add-ons like a quad bike ride.

Who Runs Your Shared Desert Safari in Al Badayer?
Every evening ends at our own camp in Al Badayer, run by M. Faisal, camp manager at BNB. Born and raised in the UAE, he has more than 15 years in desert tourism and is licensed to guide dune buggy, quad bike, camel and horse riding activities in the desert.
The safari is not suitable for pregnant guests, people with back, neck or mobility problems, babies under 1 year or guests over 70, because of the dune bashing. Who will I share the car with?
Other guests on the same tour, usually from hotels near yours. Many solo travellers and couples enjoy meeting people from other countries.
Is the shared safari good for solo travellers?
Yes. You only pay for your own seat, and you join a friendly group for the dunes, dinner and shows.
Who should not join the safari?

What food is served?

What happens during Ramadan?
The safari runs as normal, but the evening programme is shorter, with only the Tanoura and fire show. Read desert safari during Ramadan.
Is it better to book shared or private?
For 1 to 4 guests, shared is cheaper. For 5 or 6 guests, the private evening safari at AED 800 per vehicle costs about the same and gives you your own car.
What does the shared luxury upgrade add?

Can I add a quad bike or buggy ride?
Yes, both can be added at the camp for an extra cost, or you can book the safari + quad combo from AED 199. See the safari + quad combo.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup for a refund. We confirm cancellations by email, and refunds usually take 7–10 days.
